The annual budget was approved at the annual meeting in March 2026. The budget page includes the approved budget and a statement of accounts as of April 30,2026.

Contact with SC DOT provided more information for the widening and resurfacing of Black River Road from 521 to the Rapid Run Subdivision. Bid letting is expecting to begin by the end of 2026 and the project is expected to last 28 months. In the meantime, we will purchase cold patch and call the City of Camden to keep the potholes down to a minimum.

All invoices were mailed out to homeowners on the first of May. In accordance with the Board of Directors and the vote at the Annual HOA meeting in March, the annual amount is $96. All dues are due on July 1st and are considered delinquent if not received by July 31st. August 1st delinquent notices will be issued for $50, and billing will continue each month the dues are not received.

The next Board of Directors meeting is not set as yet but probably will be NLT September. Let anyone of your board members know of any concerns, comments, criticism or compliments by voice, email, text, or letter.

The Board approved a sign for the front of the subdivision announcing that Southern Oaks Subdivision is an HOA subdivision with the website address at the bottom. Hopefully that will stop any questions by old and new homeowners as to whether there is an HOA. See the Bylaws and Covenants page for rules.
